Went to buy a Mac for my brother. Saw the in-store display, a motion piece Apple had running. Just typography. No product shots, no UI, no illustrations. Words moving with intention and it told the whole story.
Stood there longer than I should have.
Went home and tried to recreate it. Pure type animation. Spacing, timing, when to push the motion and when to let it sit. Harder than it looks because there's nothing to hide behind. No visuals to carry it. Just the words and how they move.
This was the first time I realised motion design had a place in SaaS. That a product could be explained in seconds with just type and timing. no demo, no voiceover, no screen recording. Just words moving properly.
Went to buy a laptop, came back with a new direction.
